Selwyn Foundation Centre for Older Persons

We  are here to entertain and care for older people every Thursday morning at 9:30 am. If you are living alone or know someone who is and could benefit from this programme please ring Amy at the office. This is a non-denominational community service and it could be just the thing for you. We would love to see you.

If you would like to volunteer as well ring the office 871 5568

 Knit and Natter

The knit and natter group gather on Monday morning between 9:30 am and 11am in St Johns Lounge.

They each bring along their current handwork to do (it doesn’t have to be knitting) and if you need help with something you are doing, usually there is someone to offer expertise.

If you prefer to just come for company and a friendly chat you are most welcome. If you are not a handwork person a quiz is often enjoyed, or there are varied interesting topics to natter about.

Come along and enjoy our group, have a laugh and a cuppa with us.

Mainly Music

Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:30 am, St John’s Hall, Te Awamutu (during school term only) $4 per family per session.

Sessions start with half an hour of fun music and movement for the children and their caregivers, followed by morning tea and story time. Then we get the big toys out for playtime! A great opportunity to find new friends for yourself or your child especially if you’re new to Te Awamutu.

Calling all Mums – If you would like to help with Mainly Music we would be delighted to have your assistance. Even if someone could just take over the admin of the group that would take a load off the leaders.
